I’m a sorry cook, but I sure can find a good meal.
Here are some of my favorites.

FRIDGE

First and only (!) meal at Barbakoa by Finka in Doral, FL before it closed. First time I tried elote (and still haven’t tried any better).
One of my favorite places to eat with friends is The Cheesecake Factory. My meal (and leftovers) of choice: chicken parm “pizza style.”
I’ve been told to “eat more greens,” but no one thought that would mean pizza!
First time trying latkes! Got ’em at Roasters ’N Toasters Deli in Miami.
First time making soup from scratch! Luckily, my boyfriend was there to make sure I didn’t burn the house down. We made cheesy, creamy tomato with grilled ham and cheese.
Apple pie from Margot in Nashville! One of my favorite restaurant atmospheres. The menu changes all the time, which means I’ll always have an excuse to go back. >:)
A mother’s love knows no bounds.
Croque monsieur at Bachour = the best brunch in Miami. I highly recommend going with a large group and trying a little bit of everything!
The City Coffee & Creperie in St. Louis has the best crepes in town. My favorite sweet crepe is the lemon curd; my favorite savory choice is the Brittany. My family used to go on special occasions when I was younger or during the annual art fair in Clayton.
Obviously.
My family went to Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café in Austin on my 19th birthday. While the crepes don’t hold a candle to City Coffee & Creperie’s, they were a great memory of my time in Austin (and one of the only moments when I forgot how sick I was that week).
Actually made this one myself back when I was pretending to be healthy. Toast, avocado, spinach, feta, hard-boiled eggs, and chia.
Threefold Cafe in Miami just off Miracle Mile. A dangerously convenient reminder why breakfast food is my favorite.
Working with Oakberry as part of my senior capstone made me way too loyal to the brand. Fun fact: Oakberry’s açaí blend is 70% açaí, while most competitors only have around 30% in theirs!
Believe it or not, but I’m actually an insanely picky eater. Salt & Straw makes me feel more adventurous because they have so many quirky flavors. This one is strawberry cilantro lime cheesecake and is one of my all-time faves.
Ricotta cheesecake tastes like cheeesecake except the chef poured several pounds of the strongest, most addictive drug you can think of in the batter. Richer than Bezos. More drool-inducing than Pavlov’s bell. Devoured at Bugatti in Miami.
Strawberry shortcake sundae from Andy’s Frozen Custard in Downtown Kirkwood. I once asked to buy just the shortcake, as much as possible, and they gave me a giant carton for way cheaper than they should have. Now the employees are trained to avoid exactly that.
Yard House brookie before they replaced it with stupid Oreo brookies and ruined the recipe. The sliders can’t be beat, though. I need to get a photo of those.
A lot of people come to Miami and get a taste for Cuban coffee or Cuban sandwiches. I got a taste for pan de bono.
I like to say I have three stomachs:
one for regular meals, one for dessert, and one for bread.
